Meet the Militem Ferox-T, a modified Jeep Gladiator ute with a healthy dollop of Italian flair.
With the catchcry ‘American tech, Italian made’, the 2021 Militem Ferox-T boasts an interior fit-out that looks more Jaguar than Jeep.
It also comes with beefed-up adjustable suspension, a bespoke exhaust system, fettled V6 engine and exterior add-ons, which the Ferox-T’s creators claim delivers “maximum evolution of the pick-up as we know it”.
While that may be a stretch – particularly given we’ve already seen the wild V8-powered Next Level 6x6 Gladiator – the circa-$150,000 (€97,490) Italian-American pick-up truck revealed overnight in Monza, Italy, is worth a closer look.

Roughly double the price of its donor car, the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon (priced from $76,950 plus on-road costs), the upgraded American ute replaces Jeep badges with a star logo, features a unique grille design and wider wheel-arches covering big 20-inch alloy wheels shod with chunky 35-inch Cooper all-terrain tyres.
There’s a rear sports bar fitted that can be augmented with LED spot lights, the tray can be optioned with unique inlays and power-retractable side boards are on also available.
Despite the fitment of a two-inch lift kit and upgraded twin-stage dampers and adjustable suspension designed to improve off-road capability, Militem describes its ute as a “premium-luxury” pick-up thanks to plenty of extra bling in the cabin.

Upholstered with Italian leather, Alcantara and even denim, customer vehicles can be tailored to individual tastes, with a range of different finishes and colours on offer.
Militem says the bespoke interiors feature “majestic Italian craftsmanship”.
While there’s no engine swap available like some of the more extreme Gladiator conversions from the US, the Militem engineers have apparently “fine-tuned” the 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine, which generates 212kW and 353Nm – up from Aussie-spec Gladiator’s 209kW and 347Nm.
An Italian-made dual-mode exhaust system is also added.
Militem also offers the regular Ferox which is a tricked-up Jeep Wrangler, while the Hero and Magnum models are Jeep Renegade and RAM 1500 conversions respectively.
