Feann Torr
-
Managing Editor
Working as an online automotive journalist since 2003, Feann is passionate about cars and motorcycles - though don't ask him which he prefers (you'll never hear the end of it).
He currently owns a Honda CBR600 but his first true love was in fact a four-wheeler, a 1979 Ford Falcon XC with fully sick bass drivers under the seats.
Those were the days. He now drives a Hyundai Santa Fe. Go figure. Feann is a hot hatch tragic and the content team's undefeated go-kart champion but also has a penchant for jet skis. If it has a motor, he's into it.

Ali began writing about cars in 2018, fresh from her studies at Macleay College, with a penchant for race cars and a love of driving making a career in motoring the perfect fit.
She grew up racing go-karts and has dabbled in mechanical courses over the years, but today spends her weekends racing in a one-make Nissan Pulsar series with her dad.
Ali has owned more cars than her family combined, ranging from a Mk2 Ford Escort to a Mazda MX-5 (NB) and an XR6-T FG Falcon ute (among others). Her most recent financial mistake is a $600 Ford AU Falcon she won at auction and will eventually turn into a drift car. Oh, and she's chomping at the bit to pinch Feann's alleged go-karting race crown.

Callum has been talking about, looking at and taking pictures of cars since his primary school days. That obsession stuck with him through high school, university and his stint at regional newspapers where he snatched every chance he could to write about the motoring world.
Callum got his official start in the industry with GoAuto in 2019 and quickly became one of the industry’s most in-demand writers. In 2021, he took a leap of faith into the freelance world and joined the carsales team as a contributor before being brought on full-time in 2022. Away from the desk, Callum is right into his motorsport, photography, motorbikes and driving of pretty much any kind.

John Wilson
-
Content Operations Manager
John grew up on a farm in Western Victoria, riding motorbikes and driving paddock bashers before he could talk — and learning to drift in his grandfather’s Datsun 200B. That early love of all things automotive eventually met a passion for storytelling.
After kicking off his career as a photojournalist at the local newspaper, John moved to Melbourne to study commercial photography. He’s since evolved into a key part of the carsales team, combining creativity and operations to help bring some of Australia’s best car content to life.
Outside of work, you’ll find John off the grid — camping, four-wheel-driving, or chasing a quiet spot under the stars. A long-term haematology patient, he considers every day a privilege and still can’t believe he gets to blend his love of cars, travel and storytelling into a job. Lucky him.

Sarah Varcoe
-
Editorial Coordinator
Raised on a third-generation dairy farm in Girgarre, country Victoria, Sarah brings a fresh rural perspective to the carsales editorial team. With years of hands-on experience driving tractors, trucks, bikes and utes – always manual, of course – she’s no stranger to life behind the wheel.
Her passion for storytelling began in community radio at ONEFM Shepparton, where she volunteered for seven years before pursuing a double degree in Journalism and Media Studies at La Trobe University. Sarah’s writing journey has taken her from Global Retail Brands to the Herald Sun, and most recently, into the world of automotive journalism.
Sarah's first car was a Holden Astra which had one defining feature: A Nickelback CD jammed in the stereo, playing on repeat. These days, she dreams of cruising in a restored baby blue VW Kombi van, preferably with a more flexible playlist.
Now based in Melbourne, Sarah blends her country roots with city living to deliver stories that are grounded, curious and full of charm.
