Thanks to carsales I was able to sell my car with minimal fuzz, the thing that I really liked about carsales is that if someone contacted me about the car and had seen it on carsales you REALLY knew they were genuine buyers and not just tyre kicker's who were just shopping around for a car. I also advertised my car through three local newspapers which cost me heaps more than carsales with no result and proved very time wasting.

Just a short note to say how fantastic your advertising worked. I firstly advertised a car on Carsales and this sold within 6 days, then I advertised a boat on Boatsales and this sold within 4 days. I had also advertised the car on a competitors Web & Newspaper and received zero response - I let their ad run for the full month. Given the fast sale with the car I then decided to advertise my boat with Boatsales and I am glad I did.

I had advertised my vehicle across three different mediums, two newspapers as well as another internet site. I received the most inquiries from the ad in carsales.com.au and the staff were also helpful in assisting with the photography.

Placing my ad was the first time I've ever used carsales.com.au. At first I did not get any bites so I tried parking it on foot paths and then Trading Post, but only got calls that came from Carsales. Not one from Trading Post at all or from the street. It did take 2 months but it was my fault as I had the price too high. Towards the end I had heaps of calls from Carsales and it was through carsales.com.au that I sold my ute. I took your advice each step of the way, ie: being fair with pricing, I used lots photos, how to take the photos. Brilliant! My first caller bought the car, my second caller rang from the other side of Australia, offering to put money in bank and get the car sent across the nation, my 3rd and 4th callers were devastated it had been sold.
